How It Happened
• The scoring started early in the contest, with Lebanon Valley jumping out to an early advantage in just the seventh minute. Jake Kline scored for the Dutchmen, slotting one into the bottom corner, just past the outreached hands of freshman Billy Bridegum.
• The Spartans rebounded nicely, however, leveling the score in the 10th minute when Chris Hobbs headed home a Tony Mosqueira free kick. It looked like a shootout was coming after a pair of goals just 10 minutes into the affair, but York managed just three shots on goal the rest of the afternoon.
• Kline scored in the 25th minute to break the tie for LVC, and they added another before the halftime break.
• Coming out for the second half, the Spartans continued to feel the pressure, conceding three more goals in the latter period, before falling 6-1 on the road.
