Box Score LEXINGTON, VA. - The York College women's soccer team fought to a scoreless draw on the road against Washington & Lee University in non-conference action on Saturday. Jess Wieber made six saves in net to complete a clean sheet for the Spartans.

How It Happened:
• The Spartans started strong offensively, launching an early shot about a minute and a half into the game. Caitlin Rankin wiggled free but her attempt was blocked.
• MaCayla Welsh had another chance, this time in the 33rd minute forcing a save from Leeann Passaro.
• In the second half, the Spartans upped the pressure on the General defense. Rankin recorded two shots, one on target and one high. Georgia Gillcrist also notched one with less than 10 minutes remaining.
• On the other end, Jess Wieber was solid in between the pipes. Wieber made four saves, holding Washington & Lee scoreless for regulation.
• Neither team was able to muster good enough chances to break the tie in the two 10-minute overtime periods.
