Game Notes:

The series between CNU and YCP is now 2-2 after CNU captured the victory last year …. the last match up between the two was on October 10, 2015 where the Spartans fell to the Captains 2-1 … the Spartans snapped a two game losing streak with the victory … the win is the second 2-0 win over a top-20 ranked team as York knocked off #4 F&M earlier this year in York …  Christopher Newport entered the game having posted a 3-1 win at #19 Catholic earlier this week … Lindsay Nye has now recorded a point in all eight York games while she has scored a goal in the last six straight for York … the shutout is the second of the season for sophomore goalie Eve Hauptle … the  #17 Captains were shutout for just the second time this year … it is just the second time this year that CNU has given up more than one goal in a game as they entered the game having surrendered just five goals in their previous six games … CNU's four shots were the lowest of the season by 10 shots as their previous low shot total was 14 at Centre and again at Catholic … Nye continues to lead the conference in goals (10) and points (22).
