How It Happened
• The Captains got on the board in the 19th minute as Victoria Perry completed a nice combination to put CNU up 1-0. Kimmie Kerstiens slipped a pass to Carson Porkorny who one touched a pass to Perry who finished the chance into the right side netting.
• CNU made it 2-0 just prior to the half as Kayla Locklear converted a 30 yard shot into the upper left 90. The goal was Locklear's third of the year and came just 1:38 before the half.
• CNU outshot York 13-1 in the first half. York's lone shot came in the 7th minute and was blocked.
• The Captains added to the lead a mere 4:19 into the second stanza as Perry struck for her second goal of the game. Kerstiens had a long throw in to Shaye Doherty who one-touched a pass to Perry who finished a long shot into goal for the 3-0 CNU lead.
• CNU got the final goal of the game just over four minutes later as Danielle Pratt hit a long ball from the back that bounced over goalie Brittany Cullison's head for the goal.
• The Captains had a chance to make it 5-0 when they turned a York corner kick into a break away. Angie Williams carried the ball into the Captains' offensive third but Cullison made a great save to deny Williams the goal.
• York's lone shot on goal came from Caitlin Rankin as she unleashed a shot from 20 yards out but Carly Maglio registered the save for CNU.
