HOW IT HAPPENED

 • After the two teams went back and forth in the first half, the Blue Jays got on the board with 16 seconds left in the first half. Charity Good collected a loose ball in front of the Spartan cage and drove the ball home for the 1-0 lead. The goal was Good's third of the year.

• York had a chance to get the equalizer at the end of the half as they had a penalty corner and junior Ali Posey (Airville, Pa./Red Lion) was able to get the shot off but it was saved to end the half.

• York outshot the Blue Jays 9-6 in the opening half including 5-3 in shots on goal.

• York tied the game just over 15 minutes into the second half as sophomore Lindsay Nye (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) stayed hot with her ninth goal of the year. Nye dribbled the ball into the circle from the left and scored inside the right post, tying the game at one with less than 20 minutes left in regulation.

• The Spartans looked like they had taken the lead just over a minute later as they had a penalty corner. Posey fired off the shot but Elizabethtown defender Megan Eppley was in the right spot at the right time as she notched a defensive save to keep the Spartans from taking the lead.

• The Blue Jays notched the game-winner in the 61st minute as Emma Christman threw a pass towards the goal that got tipped in by Allison McLamb for the goal. The tally was McLamb's first of the year.

• York's best chance to tie the game at two came two minutes after McLamb's goal as the Spartans had a shot off a penalty corner but that would be the last shot for the Green and White in the game.
