Box Score YORK, PA – The York College women's basketball team returned from Thanksgiving break and earned a 63-53 non-conference victory over Lebanon Valley College on Sunday afternoon in York. The Spartans had a big third quarter in leading the Green and White to their second home win of the year.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
• The Spartans got off to a solid start in the first quarter as they held the Flying Dutchmen to four points over the opening seven minutes of the quarter as York led 9-4. LVC got their offensive footing in the later stages of the quarter as they ripped off a 7-3 run to end the quarter as York led 12-11 after the opening 10 minutes of the game.
• The Green and White started the second quarter on an 11-5 run keyed by three pointers from Sam Mocniak, Beth Wiseley and Morgan Golec as York led 23-16 midway through the second quarter. York would go scoreless over the next six minutes but the York defense allowed just four points over that span as the lead stood at 23-19. York ended the quarter outscoring LVC 6-4 as the Spartans took a 29-23 lead to the break.
• LVC came out of the break and outscored York 7-4, trimming their deficit to 33-30 with 5:33 left in the quarter. The Spartans put together a 15-2 run over the final 4:34 of the third period. The run started with a Katie Wagner fast break lay up and closed with a Morgan Kuehne lay up with seven seconds left as York took a 48-32 lead to the fourth. Mocniak had a pair of threes during the spurt while Wagner had five points during the run.
• York pushed the lead to 19 at 55-36 on a Sarah Shearer lay up with 7:01 left in the game. The Flying Dutchmen ripped off a 15-4 run, cutting their deficit to 59-51 with 1:18 left in the game. The run was fueled by Lexie Lantz as she had six points during the run. That was as close as LVC would get the rest of the way as York settled for their final 10 point advantage.
