GAME HIGHLIGHTS
• The game got off to a slow start offensively as the Green and White led just 10-8 after 10 minutes of play. The Green Terror scored the first six points of the game before York finally got on the board with a pair of Morgan Kuehne free throws. York outscored McDaniel 10-2 over the final 6:16 of the quarter.
• The Green Terror tied the game at 12 on an Alyssa March lay up with 8:16 left in the second quarter. York went on a 9-2 run to seize a 21-14 lead midway through the quarter. The York lead grew to 10 at 25-15 with 2:53 left in quarter. The Green Terror scored the final four points of the half, cutting the York lead to 25-19 at the break.
• McDaniel scored four of the first six points of the half to cut York's lead to four at 27-23. York pushed the lead back to nine on a Katie Wagner three with 3:34 left in the third quarter. The Green Terror outscored York 13-5 over the final 3:05 of the quarter, trimming York's lead to 39-38 heading to the fourth quarter.
• The Green Terror scored the opening bucket of the fourth quarter to take a 40-39 lead. The Spartans responded emphatically as they scored eight straight points, including a pair of Katie Wagner lay ups to take a 47-40 lead less than three minutes into the final quarter.
• McDaniel answered the Spartan spurt with a quick six point run of their own, cutting York's lead to one. A Katie McGowan lay up followed by a Sam Hruz three pointer pushed York's lead back to six. Morgan Kuehne closed out the seven point run with a lay up, giving York a 54-46 lead with 4:42 left in regulation. The Spartans closed out the game by scoring eight of the final 12 points of the game to secure the win.

The Spartans make their 2016 home debut on Friday night as they begin play in the 10th Annual Coaches vs. Cancer Classic as they host Pitt-Greensburg in the opening round of the tournament. Tip time from Charles Wolf Gymnasium is set for 6:00 pm. Arcadia and Eastern will play in the tournament's second game at 8:00 pm Friday evening. Saturday's consolation game will tip at 1:00 pm followed by the tournament championship game at 3:00 pm.
