GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• The opening five minutes of the game went back and forth with neither team able to assert itself. With the game tied at six, the Spartans fashioned a 10-1 run with six points from Matt Scamuffo. The run covered almost eight minutes as the Spartans consistently held the Bullets to one shot on the offensive end. The York lead would reach nine two more times before Gettysburg ended the half on a 5-0 run, cutting York's halftime lead to 24-20.

• York maintained their lead throughout the early stages of the second half. Jason Bady hit a three pointer from the left wing to put the Spartans up 37-26, their largest lead of the game.

• Gettysburg answered with a prolonged 13-4 run, cutting York's lead to 41-39 with 8:17 left in the game.

• The Bullets would tie the game at 45 and then take a 51-47 lead as a part of a 10-2 run as it didn't look good for the Green and White. The four point lead was Gettysburg's largest in the game.

• York trimmed their deficit in half as Zack Galic scored off a Jared Wagner feed with 2:19 left in the game. Wagner followed that with a huge defensive play as he stole the ball and was fouled going in for a lay up with under two minutes left. Wagner split the two free throws, drawing York to one at 51-50.

• After Wagner's second miss, Bady came up with a huge offensive rebound as Zack Galic tipped Wagner's miss out to Bady by midcourt. Matt Scamuffo teed up an open three but missed the shot. Galic made a huge play as he collected the rebound and put home the rebound, giving York the 52-51 lead.

• York came up with another huge stop on the ensuing Gettysburg possession as Bady got another steal and fed Galic for a lay up, giving the Spartans a 54-51 lead.

• Mlynue Reeves got fouled with 36 seconds left and split the two free throws, drawing Gettysburg to within two.

• Wagner then took over in the final 33 seconds as the freshman point guard went 5-for-6 from the stripe to salt away the Spartan win. The York defense also did it's job, forcing Gettysburg into pair of three point misses as they also completed the possession with a pair of defensive rebounds.
