Box Score FREDERICKSBURG, VA – The 2016 York College men's soccer season came to an end as Mary Washington's Jack Saslowsky booted home a goal 2:12 into overtime to lift the Eagles to a 2-1 win in the semifinals of the Capital Athletic Conference tournament.
The Eagles advance to the CAC championship game where they will face the winner of the Christopher Newport/Frostburg State semifinal game in Newport News.

How It Happened
• The Eagles got on the board first in the 13th minute. Riley Fisher fed Ryan Van Maanen in the box and Van Maanen finished off the chance, giving the hosts an early 1-0 lead.
• The Spartans tied the game 2:22 later as Matt Freibaum assisted Jordan Evans for his second goal of the year as the Green and White wasted little time in responding to the Eagles' opening salvo.
• The Eagles held a 6-2 edge in first half shots while UMW had a 5-2 margin in shots on goal. The Eagles had a 2-0 edge in corner kicks.
• The two teams went back and forth in the second half with the Eagles holding the statistical advantage. UMW outshot York 10-3 but both teams had two shots on goal. Mary Washington had an 8-1 bulge in corner kicks.
• The Eagles got back-to-back corner kicks and they took advantage of the second one as Mitchell Williams hit the ball into the box and Jack Saslowsky put the ball home for the game-winner. The goal pushed the Eagles into the conference championship game.
