Box Score YORK, PA – The York College men's soccer team began their favorite month of October in impressive fashion on Saturday afternoon when they blanked Marymount University 3-0 in Capital Athletic Conference play in a very rainy York.

How It Happened
• The game was played in rain of varying rates as the weather affected the play during the game. After controlling the majority of the first half, the Spartans finally found the scoreboard in the 34th minute of play. Sophomore Nathan Bilbie continued his outstanding play with an unassisted tally. Bilbie took the ball at the top of the 18, dribbled to space and unleashed a rocket into the top shelf to give the Spartans a 1-0 lead.
• York outshot the Saints 5-1 in the opening 45 minutes while they also had a 4-1 margin in corner kicks.
• The Spartans made it 2-0 in the 77th minute as Marc Murgo dribbled down the right end line, served a pass into the box where Sam Johnson headed home the Murgo pass inside the left post for the goal. The tally was Johnson's first collegiate goal.
• Senior Matt Freibaum closed out the scoring in the 88th minute as he beat the Marymount defense in the right side of the box and slotted a shot through the goalie to give York their final 3-0 margin of victory.
