Box Score WESTMINSTER, MD – The York College women's soccer team suffered their most lopsided loss in five years as McDaniel College remained perfect on the year with a rain-shortened 6-0 victory over the Spartans on Saturday.
The Green Terror improves to 5-0 while the Spartans fall to 1-3. The loss for York is their worst in 72 matches dating back to the September 21, 2011 loss to Messiah College. The game was called with 21:10 left in regulation.
The Green Terror got on the board early with a Abby Keen goal just 2:25 into the game. Maggie Quinn made it 2-0 in the 20th minute with an unassisted goal. McDaniel closed out the first half scoring with a Lindsey Farrell goal in the 22nd minute.

The second half wasn't much better as McDaniel got two goals three seconds apart in the 47th minute and the final goal in the 54th minute before the game was called in the 69th minute. The Green Terror had six different players score a goal while Nicole Hill had three of McDaniel's four assists in the win.
York was outshot 28-3 in the game while McDaniel had a 7-2 margin in corner kicks. York had seven fouls while McDaniel was whistled for just two infractions in the game.
Sarah McDonald earned the win as she made two saves in her 68:50 of play. Kate Lutte (Catasauqua, Pa./Catasaugua) suffered the loss as she allowed three goals with no saves in her 29:30 of work. Junior Stevi Lukacz (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) played the final 40:46 as she surrendered three goals while she made five saves.
The Spartans make their long awaited home debut on Wednesday afternoon when they host Gettysburg in a non-conference contest. Kick off is slated for 4:30 pm.
