Dallas, PA on Saturday. The Spartans fall to 0-2 for the campaign
while the Cougars improved to 2-0.
The story of the game came within a two-minute stretch early in
the second half. The Cougars owned a 1-0 lead at the break but the

second half. Senior Carly Bock

as the Cougars struck for a pair of goals a mere 1:37 apart,
turning the tie into a two-goal margin. Kim Suchoski recorded the
first goal in the 63rd minute off a pass from Alyssa
Mocion. Emily Esposito tacked on the eventual game-winner as she
blasted home a deflection in the 64th minute.

spurt ended up ruining the day for the Green and White. Freshman
Cassie
Castle found senior Stephanie
Mergler for the Spartans' second goal. Mergler's tally
was her first of the season and came in the game's 81st
minute. York two shots and a corner kick in the final eight minutes
but could not notch the equalizer as they suffered the tough
loss.
Jenn Brucker gave the Cougars the early lead as she struck for
the first half's lone goal in the 37th minute. Brucker's
tally was unassisted and came on a corner kick as the ball
deflected off Spartan goalie Sarah

an 8-7 edge in corner kicks.
Spanarkel suffered the loss as she allowed three goals in her 90
