YORK, PA – The York College women's basketball losing
skid reached five as the McDaniel College Green Terror handed the
Spartans a 81-56 non-conference loss at Charles Wolf Gymnasium on
Tuesday evening.
The Green Terror remained red hot as they have
won 13 straight. They improve to 13-4 overall with the win. The

McDaniel dominated the game from the start as
they jumped out to an early 8-2 lead five minutes into the game.
The Spartans got the next two points on a pair of Jamie
Polan (York, Pa./West York) free throws with 14:46 left.
Unfortunately for York, the Green Terror then blitzed the Spartans
with a game-ending 21-1 run that pushed the lead to 29-5 with 5:45
left in the half. The Green Terror settled for the 23-point half
time lead as the contest was essentially decided.
The Spartans cut the lead to 19 early in the
second half but the Green Terror kept the lead in the 20's
most of the half with the exception of a quick spurt that pushed
the advantage into the 30's for a brief two minute stretch
late in the game.
