Jeff Gamber enters his 29^th year ashead coach of the Spartan golf squad.

After years of competing without a conference, the Spartans wonthe 2009 Capital Athletic Conference championship.

Gamber has coached two York College Athletic Hall of Famegolfers as Mark Eckels and Chris Sprenkle have both been honored.He is responsible for recruiting and coaching eight golfers whohave earned 14 All-Capital Athletic Conference honors. Currentseniors Andrew Schmehl and Adam Dupler have both been named CapitalAthletic Conference Players of the Year. Schmehl earned the honorin 2010 while Dupler earned the Player of the Year and Rookie ofthe Year awards in 2009.

The Spartans have posted a record of 1,089-475-20 over the lastten years, good for a winning percentage of 69.4%. They have alsoregistered three top-two finishes in the four year history of theCapital Athletic Conference championships.

Gamber also coaches the Spartan men’s basketball team andserved as the York College Director of Athletics from 1982 through2004.
