Spartan Women's Cross Country Hosts CAC Championships on Saturday

YORK, PA – The York College women's cross country team is set to host the 2019 Capital Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday at Reservoir Park in York, PA. The Spartans, who are the three-time defending CAC champion, welcome Christopher Newport, Salisbury, Mary Washington, Southern Virginia and St. Mary's (Md.) to York for the championship meet.

York won their third straight title in 2018, beating Mary Washington by 13 points. Christopher Newport finished third followed by Salisbury, St. Mary's and Southern Virginia.

Spartan head coach Stephen LoBianco was named the Coach of the Year for the third straight year while Jordan Haberstroh was named the Rookie-of-the-Year.

The women's championship race is scheduled to start at 12:00 pm. It is recommended that spectators park in the Reservoir Park lot off Grantley Road. The award ceremony will be held at 1:00 pm near the start/finish line.
