Biography
2010-11: Enters her senior season with the Spartan program ... exceptionally committed to the Green and White ... a distance freestyle swimmer who pushes through lengthy races ... a supportive veteran who will help the young Spartans adjust to the rigors of college swimming ... is a spirited student-athlete.
2009-10: In her junior year, Colleen swam season bests in the 1650 free and 200 backstroke. In the 1650 she swam to a 23:22.91 and in the 200 backstroke she swam to a 2:46.97
Personal: Is an elementary education / special education major ... is the daughter of Fred and Nancy Walker ... born on April 10, 1989 ... swam on the club level for SST ... names her older sister Mandy as the person she most admires ... hobbies include swimming, reading, and helping in elementary schools ... chose York because of " the friendly atmosphere, great new pool, and the major that I wanted was offered" ... her most significant athletic achievement is completing her first 1650 in her first attempt ... her most memorable athletic moment while at York is cheering on teammates at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships ... after graduation she plans on obtaining a teaching job in kindergarten through third grade.
