Clauter Named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week

YORK, PA - York College women's lacrosse defender Nicole Clauter was named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week as announced by league office. It's the third time this year that Clauter has been recognized by the conference office as the defensive player of the week.

Clauter had another huge week for the nationally ranked Spartans.

She started the week with a school-record 14 draw controls and four ground balls in the Spartans' road win at St. Mary's. She also caused a pair of Seahawk turnovers in the win.

Clauter followed that with 13 draw controls, five ground balls and three caused turnovers in the win over Christopher Newport.

For the week, Clauter totaled 27 draw controls, nine ground balls and five caused turnovers in the two Spartan wins.
