How it Happened:

• The Spartans didn't wait much time before jumping on top of Oswego St., scoring the first four goals of the game within the first 15 minutes. Meghan Fox was the first to score, fresh off her eight-goal performance against No. 3 Trinity. Her goal came with 25:20 to play in the opening half. Just over three minutes later, Fox fed Claudia DiVenti for her third goal of the season, doubling the York advantage. Fox wasted no time before scoring again, pushing the lead to 3-0 with 20:30 left in the half. Baliegh Bradley, who assisted Fox for York's third goal, her first assist of the season, then found Caitlin Rankin for another assist.

• The Lakers got one back with 13:26 to make it 4-1, but Devin Hursey answered with two straight goals herself within just 1:41. After a second Oswego goal, Skye Slater assisted on a Regan Cook goal just 24 seconds after the Lakers scored, taking a 7-2 lead with 8:27 left in the half. Oswego scored its third with just over five minutes to play, as York used a 26-5 shot advantage in the opening half to take a 7-3 lead at the break.

• Rankin scored her second of the game in the first two minutes of the second half, taking a pass from Fox. She finished off her third with 22:03 to play, pushing to a 9-3 lead. After a Laker goal, Fox scored twice more, taking both assists from Hursey, moving the York lead to 11-4 at the midway point of the period. DiVenti notched her second of the game with just under 10 minutes to play and then Hursey netted yet another, sealing a dominant 13-6 victory for the ninth-ranked Spartans.
