How It Happened

• The Spartans and Blazers played to a rather even first quarter, with York owning a 17-14 advantage on the scoreboard after the first 10 minutes of play. A Savannah Wilson layup with 29 seconds left in the quarter broke the third tie of the game and gave York the lead. Meghan Carlson extended the lead heading into the first intermission with a made free throw with two seconds left.

• York found a rhythm in the second quarter, out-scoring the Blazers 23-11 in the quarter, to take a 40-25 lead into the locker room. Lancaster Bible tied the game, 18-18, early in the quarter, but York ripped off 13 unanswered points, shooting 7-for-9 from the line during that stretch, to take a 31-18 advantage past the midway point of the quarter. Haley Luckabaugh added a pair of three-pointers later in the quarter to swell the lead to 18, York's largest lead of the night to that point.

• The Spartans continued to roll in the third quarter, shooting 46.7% (7-for-5) from the floor, recording their most efficient quarter of the night. Day led the way for the Spartans with 10 points in the quarter as she went 4-for-4 from the field and 2-for-2 from the line.

• York closed the door in the fourth quarter, led by Wilson who accounted for 12 of her team's 20 fourth-quarter points. The freshman guard scored all her points from three-point range, going 4-for-4 in the final quarter.
