YORK, PA - York College junior guard Kayla Ferris has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the league on Monday.
Ferris led the Spartans to a pair of wins as she notched a pair of double-doubles for the Spartans.
She began the week with 17 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in the Tuesday night road win at Dickinson. She was 8-for-11 from the floor including 1-for-2 from three. Ferris added one assist, two steals and a blocked shot in the win.
Ferris followed that with 10 points and 11 rebounds in the overtime win over McDaniel. She was 5-for-10 from the floor while she also had three assists, three steals and three blocked shots in 39 minutes of action.
For the week, Ferris averaged 13.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocked shots in the two Spartan wins.
