The Spartans are now 0-3 all time against the Royals with the other meetings coming last season and in the 2006-07 Elite Eight matchup with both times the Royals defeating York by four points … the 46 points scored by the Spartans was a season low for York as their three-game streak of scoring 75 or more points was snapped … the two three-pointers was also a season low … senior forward Katie McGowan put up double digit points for the fourth straight game and eighth time this year … Kayla Ferris continued to snag steals on the defensive end with five more and have recorded at least one steal in all but one game this season … Ferris has had five or more steals in four games this year … York is now 3-2 on the road this season.
This was the last game before Christmas break as the Spartans will be off for 20 days before they return to York to host Lebanon Valley College in the final non-conference matchup before conference play begins. The game is scheduled for Sunday, December 30 at 2:00 pm.
