|Title:||Asst. Coach - Pole Vault|
Jacob Sanders is entering his third season as the pole vault coach at York College PA.
In his first season, the York men's pole vault squad scored an unprecedented 22 points in the indoor conference championship. This was due to Darris Rodrigues becoming the first pole vaulter in York history to achieve first place at the meet as well as teammates Kevin Landis, Brian Koonce and Brandon Tocket placing third, fourth and eighth respectively.
Prior to York, Sanders coached Westminster High School's Track and Field program for two years. Amongst the pole vaulters he oversaw, Alex Howell claimed the girl's county record and a second place state finish and Alex Hall finished his high school career with the boy's school record and a second place state finish while Mike Richardson secured eighth at the state meet as well.
Sanders began his coaching career as a personal trainer nearly six years ago where he learned the fundamental training principles that still guide him to this day.
