YORK, PA – The York College men's swim team saw their four-meet win streak get halted on Saturday as the University of Mary Washington downed the Spartans 169-93 in Capital Athletic Conference action in York. The Spartans fall to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the league.
Junior Jake Halem had a big day as he picked up a pair of wins including a new pool record in the 100 butterfly as he touched the wall in a time of 51.15, besting the old record by .59 seconds. Halem was also a part of the winning 200 medley relay and also the runner up 200 free relay squad.

Senior Greg Williams picked up his team-leading seventh win of the year … junior Jake Halem raised his season win total to six as he is one back of Williams for the team lead in individual wins … there were four pool records in the meet with Halem getting York's one pool record on the day … Mary Washington set pools records in the 50 free, the 100 free and the 200 free relay.
The Spartans return to action on Friday as they head to the three-day Franklin & Marshall Invitational. The meet kicks off Friday morning at 10:00 am.
