Spartan Men Down St. Mary's in Saturday CAC Clash

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD – The York College men's swim team earned a 138-93 Capital Athletic Conference win at St. Mary's on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans improve to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the league.

Three Spartans earned a pair of individuals wins as Keven Stahl won the 500 and 1000 freestyle, Tyler Maggio won the 100 and 200 breaststroke and Jesse Tate was victorious in the 100 and 200 butterfly. Greg Williams was the other Spartan to earn an individual win for the Spartans.

The Spartans swam the 200 IM and the 200 freestyle relay as exhibition matches … sophomore Keven Stahl now has eight individual wins in three meets for the year … Tyler Maggio now has three individual wins which ranks him second on the squad … Jesse Tate earned his first two wins of the year with his victories in the 100 and 200 fly races … Greg Williams now has two individual wins for the year.

The Spartans will now be off until Friday, November 16 when they head to Lancaster, PA to participate in the three-day Franklin & Marshall Invitational. The action kicks off Friday evening at 6:30 pm.
