Last Time We Met

The two teams met twice this year which saw the Captains on top of both the competitions. On September 28, the Spartans traveled to Newport News, VA where the Captains won 3-0 on 2 goals from Justin Wilson and one from Lincoln Kickbush. They next met on October 26, where the Captains won 1-0, with the loan goal coming from Michael Wilson.

Odds and Ends

Anticipate a defensive battle between the two teams as CNU is second in the conference and has only allowed 11 goals all year, while the Spartans are third in the conference allowing 22. Captains goalkeeper Justin Piercy has been tremendous for CNU this season ranking first in save %, wins, and shutouts while coming in a close second in GAA. Look for Spartans forward Zion Friday to make an impact on the offensive end, while senior captain Brook Addisu will do his best to slow down the Captains offense.
