Last Time We Met

The two teams met twice this season in October which saw York winning the first game 1-0, then Salisbury winning the next 1-0. Goals were scored by McClain Smith (YCP) in the 62nd minute of the first game and Cullen Myers (SU) in the 56th minute of the second game. Overall in the two games the Sea Gulls outshot the Spartans 22-17.

Odds and Ends

Expect the match to be a physical one, as Salisbury leads the conference in yellow cards by far with 41, 27 more than the Spartans had. Each team recorded one red card each. The Spartans are 4-3-1 at home, while the Sea Gulls have struggled on the road with a 2-4-1 record when on the road. Look for Spartans forward Zion Friday to make an impact as he has been the main offensive option this year with nine goals. For the Sea Gulls, expect junior Dolph Hegewisch to control the midfield, as he has contributed 13 points on four goals and five assists.
