YORK, PA - York College sophomore Travis Gould has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Gould had a career day in the Spartans' 5-1 win over Juniata on Saturday as the Spartans went 1-1 for the week.
Gould notched a natural hat-trick in the win over the Eagles. He put the Spartans up 2-0 as he scored his first goal of the day with 1:17 left in the first half. He then scored a mere 1:22 into the second half as he headed a corner kick into the far post. He capped his scoring flurry with his third goal just 5:41 into the second half as he banged home a rebound for the 4-0 Spartan lead.
Gould finished the week with six points on his three goals. He is tied with Zion Friday for the team lead in goals with three each.
