Eric Hutchinson enters his first season on the Spartan wrestling coaching staff in 2022-23.
Hutchinson was a standout wrestler for the Spartans from 2017-22 with an overall record of 81-26 while competing primarily at 157 lbs. He qualified for nationals three times throughout his career and was named a NWCA Third Team All-American in 2020 as he compiled a record of 32-4.
The Wayne, Pa. native earned Second Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference honors in 2022 and finished the season ranked No. 11 at 157 lbs. in the final NWCA rankings. He became just the third Spartan in program history to earn NWCA Scholar All-America honors four times and his 81 wins tied for 14th on the program's all-time wins list at the completion of his career.
Hutchinson earned his degree in supply chain operations management in 2021 and holds a full-time job with New Standard Corporation.
