YORK, PA – The all-tournament team for the 2020 York College Spartan Classic was released Monday morning after the weekend tournament.
York College junior forward David Giuliani was named the tournament MVP as he averaged 20 points, 12 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocked shots per game. He shot 58.6% from the field and 40% from three. He recorded his first career Spartan double-doubles during the tournament with 19 points and 12 rebounds against Albertus Magnus and 21 points and 12 rebounds against Marymount.
The all-tournament team includes Tyreek Perkins from Albertus Magnus, York's Jared Wagner, Noah Baldez from Coast Guard and Ibrahim Kamara from Marymount University.
Perkins led the 11-1 Falcons to a pair of wins for the weekend. He notched 17 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals against York. He then had 20 points, four rebounds and a steal in the 103-95 win over Coast Guard on Sunday. Perkins finished the weekend with 37 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals to earn the all-tournament team honor.
Wagner registered 14 points, four rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks in the Saturday game against Albertus Magnus. He followed that with his fifth double-double of the year with 23 points, 11 assists, six steals and three rebounds in the victory over Marymount on Saturday. Wagner accumulated 37 points, 15 assists, eight steals, and seven rebounds for the tournament.
Baldez began the weekend with 15 points, five rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot in the Bears' win over Marymount. He followed that with 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal in the game against Albertus Magnus. For the tournament, Baldez recorded 29 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists as the Bears went 1-1.
Kamara had a pair of strong games for the Saints. He opened the weekend with 10 points, four rebounds, one assist, one blocked shot and two steals in 28 minutes of play against Coast Guard. He then notched 14 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal in 33 minutes of play. Kamara finished the classic with 24 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
