York Men Run Away to Victory Over Messiah in Home Opener

YORK, Pa. - The York College men's swimming team posted a convincing 162-43 over Messiah on Friday in York's home opener.

Highlights
The Spartans won nine of 11 events with seven individual wins and two relay victories. In total, York compiled 24 top-three finishes on the night.

Liam McAvinue led the way for York with a pair of individual wins in the 200 free and 500 free. He posted a two-second margin of victory in the 200 free and won by 10 seconds in the 500 free.

Ben Stambaugh (1000 free), Quinlan Williams (50 free), Cooper Stiles (200 IM), Alex Daniele (100 fly) and Brenden Stuhltrager (100 free) also posted individual wins on the night.
