Stahl Wins MAC Title as Three Spartans Earn All-Conference Honors

GRANTHAM, Pa. - The York men's wrestling team finished seventh out of 10 teams with one individual champion and three all-conference performers at the 2026 Middle Atlantic Conference Men's Wrestling Championship hosted by Messiah University on Saturday.

York now has five individual MAC champions and 15 All-MAC honors since 2022.

Messiah (140 points) won the team title, their fifth in program history, followed by No. 10 Stevens (129.5 points), Misericordia (109.5 points), Alvernia (107.5 points) and Albright (72.5 points) in the top-five.

No. 9 Josh Stahl went 4-0 on the day with four technical falls on his way to capturing the 197-pound title. The senior out-scored his opponents 62-1 as he continued his climb up the top-10 rankings for most technical falls in Division III this season.

Defending 133-pound champ Vincent Paolucci claimed second as he went 3-1 on the day, falling to No. Jacob Blair (Arcadia) in the 133-pound title bout, 8-1. Paolucci is now a two-time All-MAC performer after capturing first last season.

Jacob DelVecchio earned third-team All-MAC honors with a third-place finish in the 125-pound bracket. The senior finished 4-1 on the day and rebounded from a semifinal round loss to No. 6 Malik Asfour (Eastern) two more wins to capture third.

The Spartans will return to the mat on January 30th for a dual match at Penn College.
