Spartan Women Fall in Competitive Battle at Messiah

YORK, Pa. - The York College women's swimming team came up short, 143-100, in a competitive dual meet at Messiah on Friday night.

Senior Isabella Klemm again racked up three individual wins for the Green and White as she finished first in the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and 400 IM. She posted a 26-second margin of victory in the 400 IM while making her collegiate debut in the event. Klemm also contributed to a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay.

Sophomore Annie Custis also nabbed multiple individual wins on the night as she won the 50 free for the second-straight meet and finished first in the 100 free.

Senior Camden Perella and sophomore Annika Doutrich captured a pair of top-three finishes. Perella took first in the 100 butterfly and finished third in the 100 freestyle, while Doutrich won  the 200 freestyle and took second in the 500 freestyle.
