Box Score YORK, PA – The York College men's tennis squad saw their fall campaign come to a close with a 6-1 loss to Gettysburg in non-conference action on a crisp Friday afternoon in York.
The Spartans end the fall 1-4 while the Bullets improve to 3-1 with the win.
The Bullets rolled through the doubles matches as Gettysburg captured all three matches to take the 1-0 lead into singles play.
Gettysburg kept rolling in the singles play. The Bullets won the second, third, fourth and fifth singles in straight sets. The Spartans avoided the shutout with a
John Shatinsky sixth singles win as he earned an 8-7 (7-4) victory for the Green and White.

Drew Heinzelmann dropped a lengthy number one singles match to Ben O'Connor-Skloot 1-6, 6-3, 10-2.
The Spartans are now off until Sunday, March 8 when they host Methodist University at the Myers Tennis Complex. The match is slated for an 11:00 am start.
