Men's Tennis Falls at Goucher

The Spartans are now 1-3 on the fall campaign

TOWSON, MD – The York College men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 loss at Goucher College on Tuesday afternoon in Towson, Maryland.

The Spartans fall to 1-3 as all three setbacks have come via 7-0 scores. Goucher improves to 1-1 with the win.

The Gophers won two of the three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. The Spartan third doubles team of Drew Heinzelmann and John Shatinsky prevented the sweep with a 7-6 (7-2) win in their match.

The Gophers won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Freshman Chase Fronczkiewicz took Carlo Cortes to three sets before falling 3-6, 6-2, 11-9.

The Spartans close out their fall schedule on Friday afternoon as they host Gettysburg College in a non-conference contest. The action is slated for a 3:00 pm at the Myers Tennis Complex.
