OWINGS MILLS, MD – The York College women's swim squad wrapped up their highly successful 2024-25 regular season with a sweep of MAC Commonwealth foes Messiah and Stevenson on Saturday afternoon in Owings Mills, Maryland.

The Spartans beat Stevenson 166-81 and edged the reigning MAC Champion Messiah Falcons 129-123 as York finished the year 6-4 in dual meets.

The Spartans got big days from junior Isabella Klemm and freshman Annika Doutrich as they each accumulated three wins. Klemm won the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:06.74. She won the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:28.24 and then concluded the day with a win in the 200 IM with a time of 2:16.64. Klemm now has a team-high 23 individual wins in the regular season. Klemm heads into the MAC Championships holding the top times in the MAC in all three events.

Doutrich won the 200 fly in a time of 2:24.18, the 100 free in a time of 56.86 and the 500 free in a time of 5:26.30. She owns the top 500 free time in the MAC at the end of the regular season. Doutrich has 17 individual wins for the Green and White. 

Camden Perella continued her late season surge as she won the 200 free in a time of 2:03.98. The victory is her sixth of the year. Perella also recorded a pair of runner up finishes in the meet as she was second in the 50 free and the 500 free.

Freshman Annie Custis was the final Spartan victor in the meet as she won the 100 backstroke in a time of 1:04.65. It was her fourth individual win of the year. Custis also finished second in the 200 backstroke and third in the 50 free on the day.

Senior Kendra Winkleblech was the runner-up in the 1000 free with a time of 11:41.62.

Freshman McKinley Stokley was York's final top three finisher as she placed third in the 100 fly with a time of 1:09.27.

The Spartans are now off until February 13 when they head to the 2025 MAC Championship meet at the Graham Aquatic Center in York. The four-day championship kicks off on Thursday morning at 10:00 am with the first day preliminaries.
