OWINGS MILLS, MD – The York College men's swim squad concluded their 2024-25 regular season with a sweep of Stevenson and Messiah on Saturday afternoon in Owings Mills, Maryland.
The Spartans defeated the Mustangs 186-63 and beat the Falcons 191-61. The Green and White completes the regular season with a mark of 8-2 in dual meets.
The Spartans won 12 individual events for the day highlighted by freshman
Bryce Miller rolling to three individual victories while
Bryan Collins and
Brenden Stuhltrager each earned a pair of wins.
Miller won the 100 backstroke with a time of 54.44, the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:00.44 and then he finished off the day with a win in the 200 IM, touching the wall in a time of 2:03.43. Miller now has 11 individual wins for the year. Miller heads into the MAC Championships holding the best time in the league in the 100 backstroke for the regular season.
Collins was victorious in the 100 breaststroke and the 50 free. He recorded times of 1:02.29 in the breaststroke and 22.46 in the 50 free. Collins owns the top times in the 50 and 100 free heading to the MAC Championships. Collins concludes the regular season with a team-high 15 individual wins.
Stuhltrager won the 100 free in a time of 49.89 while he was also victorious in the 100 fly with a time of 53.60. Stuhltrager finished his first year in the Green and White with 12 individual wins.
Senior
Liam Perrin recorded a win in the 1000 free with a time of 10:06.18, good for his 11
th win of the year.
Brady Tipton picked up his first career win in the 200 free with a time of 1:52.47.
Alex Daniele won the 200 fly for his third win of the year while
Cooper Stiles was first in the 200 breaststroke. The win was Stiles' second of the year. Senior
Will McDermott won the 500 free with a time of 5:02.31, good for his seventh individual win of the year.
Freshman
Justin Rafter recorded a trio of second place finishes as he was the runner up in the 100 backstroke, the 500 free and the 200 IM. Stiles, McDermott and Perrin also earned second place finishes as did
Nick Bordovsky who was second in the 50 free and the 100 fly.
Ben Stambaugh earned a pair of third place finishes for the day.
