Women’s Swimming Edged by Ursinus in Home Opener

YORK, Pa. - The Spartan women's swimming team lost a close battle with Ursinus, 102-97, Saturday afternoon in front of the home crowd.

York compiled up 11 individual top-three finishes on the day with four first-place performances. The Spartans also won both relay events on the day.

Two Spartans led the way with two individual wins apiece. Isabella Klemm won both the 100 backstroke and 100 breaststroke, while also contributing to victories in the 400 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay. Annika Doutrich nabbed a pair of wins in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle, and contributed to a win in 400 medley relay.

Camden Perella captured two third-place finishes in the 100 free and 200 free.

Kendra Winkleblech collected a pair of third-place finishes in the 1000 free and 100 fly.
