Spartan Women Open Season Victorious at Arcadia

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Spartan women's swimming opened the 2024-25 season with a convincing 132-113 victory at Arcadia on Saturday afternoon.

York racked up 19 individual top-three finishes on the day with nine first-place performances. The Spartans also nabbed a pair of second-place relay finishes.

Isabella Klemm led the way for the Spartans with three wins on the day in the 100 and 200 breaststroke as well as the 200 IM.

Three different Spartans each had a pair of wins on the day. Camden Perella took first in both the 200 and 500 freestyle. Annika Doutrich won both the 1000 free and 100 butterfly in her collegiate debut. Ryann Price also made a big splash in her collegiate debut as she swept the backstroke events.

Regan Hyder had three top-three finishes with a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke to go along with a pair of bronzes in the 200 butterfly and 200 IM.

Annie Custis had a strong collegiate debut with a second-place finish in the 100 free and a third-place performance  in  the 50 free.

Kendra Winkleblech started the season with a pair of silvers in the 500 free and 1000 free.
