YORK, PA – The York College men's swim squad made their first road trip of the 2023-24 campaign to Collegeville, PA on Saturday to take on the Ursinus College Bears. The Spartans dropped a 111-82 decision in the match to fall to 0-3 in dual meets this season.
The Spartans got a pair of first place finishes in the race as
Connor Spillman won the 1000 free and
Chris Hulsart was victorious in the 100 breaststroke. The win for the senior Spillman was his first career victory. Spillman also finished third in the 500 free in the meet.
York recorded seven runner-up finishes paced by
Liam Perrin as he earned two seconds in the 200 free and the 500 free.
Collin Draminski was a runner up in the 50 free while
Matthew Peters was second in the 200 IM.
James Lyon touched the wall second in the 100 fly while freshman
Leo Ott recorded his first career top three finish with a second in the 100 backstroke. Freshman
Gabriel Carey placed second in the 100 breastroke while teammate
Jon Salazar was third.
