YORK, PA – The York College women's swim team opened their 2023-24 campaign with a 144-60 setback against Arcadia University on Saturday in York.
While the Spartans suffered the team loss, they had a number of strong performances including a new pool record.
The Spartans fall to 0-1 while the Knights improve to 1-0.
Sophomore
Isabella Klemm led the way for the Spartans with a pair of individual wins. She captured first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:16.42. Klemm then set a new pool record in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:06.84.
Junior
Kendra Winkleblech earned York's other win as she was victorious in the 1000 free with a time of 11:56.71. Winkleblech also posted a third place finish in the 100 fly.
Camden Perella earned a pair of runner-up finishes as she was second in the 200 free and the 100 free.
Araby Marston earned York's other second place finish as she was the runner up in the 50 free.
Senior
Michaela Foltz picked up York's other top three finish as she was third in the 500 free.
