YORK, PA – The York College men's swim team opened their 2023-24 campaign with an impressive 114-91 win over Arcadia University on Saturday afternoon in York.
The Spartans improve to 1-0 overall while the Knights are now 0-1.
The Spartans had five individual winners and six runner-up finishes. Senior
Collin Draminski led the way for the Green and White as he won the 50 free and the 100 back. His 50 free time was 21.30 while his backstroke time was 54.63. Senior
Matthew Peters earned his win in the 200 IM with a time of 2:02.18.
Nick Bordovsky registered a win in the 100 fly as he touched the wall in a time of 54.47.
Bryan Collins notched York's fifth win as he was victorious in the 100 free with a time of 48.33. Collins also earned a third-place finish in the 50 free with a time of 21.80.
Liam Perrin and
James Lyon each earned a pair of runner-up finishes in the Spartan win. Perrin was second in the 1000 free and the 500 free for York while Lyon was second in the 200 free and the 100 free.
Alex Daniele was the runner up in the 100 fly while
Chris Hulsart finished second in the 100 breaststroke for the Green and White. Hulsart also earned a third-place finish in the 200 IM.
