YORK, PA – The York College women's swim squad celebrated their 2023 Senior Day with a 133-57 Middle Atlantic Conference win over Hood College on Saturday afternoon in York.
The win is the first dual meet win of the year for York as they improve to 1-4 overall and 1-0 in the conference. The Blazers fall to 4-5 overall and 3-5 in the MAC.
The Spartans got eight individual wins and a pair of relay victories for the meet. Seniors Sara Zimmerman and Taylor Harper each earned a pair of individual wins for the day. Zimmerman won the 1000 and 500 free races. Harper was victorious in the 200 IM and in the 100 fly. Araby Marston earned the win in the 50 free while Camden Perella touched the wall first in the 100 free. Senior Molly Devine earned victory in the 100 backstroke while Isabella Klemm won the 100 breaststroke for the Spartans.
Devine, Perella and Marston each added runner up finishes for the Spartans.
Prior to the meet, the Spartans honored Devine, Zimmerman and Harper as their three seniors.
