GRANTHAM, PA – The Spartan women's swim squad went 1-2 at Saturday's quad meet hosted by Messiah University in Grantham, PA.
The Spartans defeated Stevenson University 121-52 while they dropped decisions to the host Falcons, 149-51, and to Stevens, 111-81. The Spartans are now 2-7 in dual meets this season including 2-2 in the Middle Atlantic Conference meets.
The Spartans lone win came from freshman
Isabella Klemm as she won the 100 free with a time of 56.36. She edged teammate
Camden Perella as her fellow first year Spartan posted a time of 57.16. Klemm also had a second place finish in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:32.82. Klemm has a team-high five individual wins for the Green and White so far in 2022-23.
Perella earned a third place finish in the 200 free, touching the wall in a time of 2:05.39.
Senior
Sara Zimmerman picked up a pair of top three finishes for York. She was second in the 1650 free with a time of 19:14.99 while she was third in the 500 free with a time of 5:36.47.
