YORK, Pa. - The No. 1 seed Spartans rolled to a 5-0 MAC Commonwealth Semifinal victory over No. 5 Messiah on Wednesday at the Spartan Tennis Center.

Doubles Play
The Spartans swept all three matches in doubles play to take a commanding 3-0 lead right out of the gates. Messiah put up a fight at the first two flights, but York ultimately prevailed, 8-6, on both courts.
Singles Play
Elsa Oestermarker put York one step closer to clinching the dual as she rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at the No. 1 flight. Oestermarker improved her team-leading record to 9-1 and extended her win streak to seven-straight.
Following Oestermarker's victory, York needed just one more win at any flight to move past the Falcons. Morrissey Walsh would be the one to seal the deal for the Spartans with a victory at No. 6. Walsh battled to a 7-5 victory in the first set before cruising to a 6-1 win in the second.
