YORK, Pa. - The York College men's tennis team opened the 2021 season with a 9-0 loss to Messiah on Saturday at the Spartan Tennis Center.
Doubles Play
The Falcons (1-0) cruised to an 8-2 victory at the No. 1 flight and an 8-1 at No. 2 doubles, but the Spartans (0-1) battled at the No. 3 flight before eventually falling, 8-5.
Singles Play
Tej Laliwala went the distance at the No. 1 flight. The sophomore won the first set 6-4, before falling in the final two sets, 6-2, 10-6.
Scott Miller also battled through three sets before eventually falling, 10-8, in the third. Miller won the first set, 7-5, and fell 6-4 in the second.
