Men's Swimming Closes Regular Season With a Sweep at Messiah

GRANTHAM, PA – The York College men's swim team concluded their 2019-20 regular season with a sweep at Saturday's Messiah College tri-meet with the Falcons and Lebanon Valley on Saturday in Grantham, PA. The Spartans defeated Messiah 143-116 and beat Lebanon Valley 206-33.

York finished their regular season with a dual meet record of 8-2.

The Spartan senior class finished their regular season dual meet season with an overall record of 34-8 over their four-year career … Junior Jake Halem set a Messiah pool record in the 200 IM with his time of 1:58.15 … Halem also finished the regular season with a team-leading 10 individual wins for the season … Connor McIlroy finished his campaign with two wins on Saturday as he earned seven wins for the year … Miles Brown and Michael Federline each picked up their fifth individual win of the year on Saturday … AJ Loehr recorded his first individual win of the year as he was victorious in the 100 free.

 

Up Next

The Spartans return to action on Wednesday, February 11 when they open the 2020 Capital Athletic Conference championships at St. Mary's College in St. Mary's City, Maryland. The four day championship kicks off at 6:00 pm on Wednesday night and concludes on Saturday, February 15.
