Women's Tennis Stays Red Hot with 9-0 Win over LVC

YORK, PA – The Spartan women's tennis team stayed red hot with their fourth straight win as they blanked Lebanon Valley College 9-0 on a steamy Sunday afternoon in York. The Spartans have won their four matches in the span of four days.

Junior Rachel Wagner stayed perfect as she is now 4-0 at second singles in addition to being 4-0 at second singles along with Gina LiguoriMaisie Supp is 3-0 at third singles and is 4-0 when teaming with Katie Wagner at first singles … York is a combined 18-5 in singles play and 11-1 in doubles action in their four matches … Katie Wagner continues to push her school record in singles wins higher as she now has 35 wins, four more than previous record holder Katelyn Acker … Katie Wagner also earns the doubles wins record with 31, four better than former partner Darian Naill …. Rachel Wagner now ranks sixth in career singles wins with 23 … Rachel Wagner is one win away from breaking into the top five as Emily Price sits in fifth with 24 wins.

 

Up Next:

York return to action on Friday, September 29 when the Spartans travel to Albright to face the Lions in a non-conference match. The match is slated for a 3:00 pm start. The Spartans then close out their fall campaign on Saturday when they host Catholic in a 12:00 pm match.
