GETTYSBURG, PA – The Spartan women's tennis team continued their road trip to open the 2017 fall campaign with a 5-3 win at Gettysburg College on Friday afternoon.

First Doubles: Katie Wagner / Maisie Supp (YCP) def. Samantha Boardman/Emily Lutz (GC), 8-5

Second Doubles: Rachel Wagner / Gina Liguori (YCP) def. Amanda Vinges/Erica Paul (GC), 8-6

Third Doubles: Jessica Sherman/Caroline Marderness (YCP) def. Maddie Class/Erin Sweeney (GC), 8-2

Notes:

Senior Katie Wagner had her five match win streak snapped with her three set loss at first singles … It was Wagner's first non-conference loss since March 18, 2017 when she lost to Ursinus' Aileen Bevard … Wagner is now 19-4 all-time in non-conference matches during her Spartan career … Rachel Wagner and Gina Liguori both improved to 2-0 in singles play with their Friday wins … York swept the doubles points for the second straight match.
