YORK, PA – The York College men's swim squad opened their season with a tri-meet split against Franklin & Marshall and Messiah on Saturday afternoon in York.
The Spartans defeated Messiah 156-104 but the Diplomats edged the Spartans 151-109.

Freshman Kaelan Dowdall had a fantastic collegiate debut with a win in the 1000 freestyle and a pair of third place finishes in the 100 butterfly and the 500 freestyle … Dowdall was the only event winner for the Spartans … senior Morgan Schreiber earned a pair of second place finishes … sophomore Jesse Tate eanred a pair of seconds and a third place finish for York.

The Spartans head out on the road to close out the month of October as they head to Salisbury to face the Sea Gulls in a Capital Athletic Conference contest. The meet is slated for a 1:00 pm start in Maryland.
