TOWSON, MD – The York College men's tennis team played well but dropped a 9-0 non-conference decision at Goucher College on Saturday afternoon in Towson, Maryland.

Singles Highlights

• Sam Innerst fell to Elliot Diehl in first singles in three sets. Innerst won the opening set 6-4 but fell 7-5 and 10-5 to drop the first singles match up.

• Ben Sentz was competitive in second singles as he fell 6-4, 6-4.

• Devin Lehigh played well in the third singles match but fell to Michael Herman 7-6 (7-3), 6-4

• Sam Price dropped a tight 7-5, 6-4 loss in the sixth singles match.

Doubles Highlights

• The first doubles team of Sam Innerst and Devin Lehigh fell 8-6 in a highly competitive first doubles match.

Match Notes:

The Spartans have lost their last two match against Goucher by identical 9-0 scores … York's last win over Goucher came on September 20, 2014 as York posted a 6-3 win … the 9-0 loss is just the second in as many season for the Spartans.
